Art needs direction

We like to think of art as something that cannot be controlled and has limitless capability in being random and purely existing in the moment. A lot of art is this way but for the sake of public consumption. It makes art profitable and helping artists earn a living and help with business acumen. You can’t just show pieces of art individually and expect people to want to come and study them in long drawn-out sessions.

This is where the role of the art gallery manager comes in. The modern way of expressing art is in installations. Giving the public the ability to interact with the artist’s vision will bridge the gap between the curious and the informed. Art installation managers are people who will work for an art institution. It’s their job to seek out new and interesting art that will captivate a paying audience. You’re hands-on and picking out the art that will be displayed, but also thinking about the business consequences in the process.

Engineering a success

Engineers are some of the most valued people in the national workforce and need a great business acumen. They are the ones that build everything we use and touch in our daily lives. Being an engineer is very rewarding, with many job opportunities around the world, companies fighting to have you stay with them. There are chances of promotion and earning more coming a little more swiftly than in other industries.

However, there may come a time when you want to do more than just work with your hands, you want to lead projects. For that a masters of engineering management transforms engineers into those that will lead teams in the research and development department. They lead on new products, projects, technologies and strategic goals. It’s for those that are great engineers but want to learn a bit of business acumen to help them become leaders of the pack.

Overall

Creative people don’t often want heavy responsibilities because it might dampen their ability to work artistically and business acumen. However, those that want to change the direction and conversation in their field, have to take on new roles in a company. The same goes for those with an engineering background.
