How excited are you for the first snow fall of the season? My daughter was beyond thrilled. She LOVES the snow! It has been snowing off and on since Friday afternoon and just has not really stopped. We clearly were not totally ready because we still had our planter boxes out and Halloween decorations and some plants – but we were able to put away our outdoor table and such before this big first of the season snow fall!
We finally got to test our her new winter boots, gloves and hat and I am happy to say they held up great.
Is this a sign of what the winter is going to be like this year? I really hope not! I do have a feeling though that this snow is not going to melt at all anytime soon. The difference between snow in the Northwest and snow in the Northeast is that this snow just sits on the trees and looks super pretty, whereas in the northeast, it melts off super quick and then because of the salt that they use, the snow on the ground also looks disgusting as well! Don’t get me wrong, I am not a fan of snow by any means, however, when it falls here in Washington, it always looks much prettier.
Looking forward to posting some more fun wintery weather posts. We were supposed to have our family pictures done yesterday up at the farms, but it was snowing so we had to cancel. We will be taking them Thanksgiving weekend so I look forward to sharing them with you as soon as I get them back.
