1 – Get A Massage Weekly

As the owner of a wellness company, I think it is imperative to commit myself to my values and embrace self-preservation. I encourage my clients to take care of themselves through exercise, meditation and massage. I booked 90 minutes of my week to receive a massage therapy and my stress levels, and my mental health, have improved. – Rachel Beider, Massage Greenpoint, Massage Williamsburg.

2 – Defining Health Commitments

In recent years, I’ve made the commitment to have a personal trainer two to three times a week and it’s the perfect way to get up and move in the middle of long hours of work. We are able to hold meetings with the team and clients, but we rarely give the same priority to our health. This creates the perfect work life balance for working moms. Now, it’s on my calendar to exercise, prepare healthy meals and relax. – Kelly Azevedo.

3 – Enjoy The Outdoors For Clarity Of Thoughts

I started to do more walking and climbing. It’s a great escape from the office and allows me to be off the phone for a day or two. I get more clarity, eliminating the confusion of everyday communications, and I also enjoy amazing experiences, fruit of fellowship and sharing stories with other entrepreneurs who join me in these walks. – Andy Karuza, FenSens.

4 – Working Remotely

The advantage of being an experienced technology entrepreneur is that there are platforms that allow us to have the ability to work remotely. A few years ago, I decided to take advantage of that and move to Cartagena, Colombia, where I currently work. This freedom and flexibility have improved my quality of life and my productivity. I am happier and in better health! – Marcela De Vivo, Brilliance.

5 – Practice Mindfulness And Live In The Present

I truly believe that our thoughts are the seeds of our actions and habits. So I try to keep my mind quiet, with room for positive thoughts and ideas. It is not always easy, but it becomes easier with practice. If I did not practice mindfulness I would not have thought of some of the companies I created or would not have developed authentic relationships with people who helped me over time. – Syed Balkhi, OptinMonster.

6 – Do Not Work At Weekends

I quit working weekends, unless it’s a work trip. Having this time for me has been amazing and rejuvenates me for the next week. There is nothing that can not wait until the beginning of the following week. My free time is now for my hobbies, family time and for me. It has improved my spirit and my productivity during the week. – Cynthia Johnson, Ipseity Media

7 – Buy A High Table

I have found that I do more things when I am standing and I am more likely to step away from the table to pause. Since I bought a high-end table, my focus also improved, accelerating productivity and causing me to waste less time in front of the screen. I feel more active, and less sedentary, thanks to this small change. – Angela Ruth, Due.

8 – Go Swimming

Practicing exercise in the morning before work is a great way to start your day and prepare the body for a good night’s rest. Swimming has a low impact, but it is a fantastic aerobics exercise. Since I made an effort to swim regularly I reduced the amount of caffeine needed to wake up and concentrate. It also helped me to strengthen my back muscles and prevent bad postures when I am at the computer. – Reuben Yonatan, GetVoIP.

9 – Try Mental Health Coaching

Our mental health is just as important as physical health. However, many of us do not know or deny it completely. I have incorporated therapy and coaching into my life on a regular basis and it has been a huge difference. Entrepreneurs have come to realize, now more than ever, why the importance of mental health is so great. When looking for coaching to deal with what goes on in our lives, we can all be more successful! – Beth Doane, Main & Rose

10 – Document Achievements

I write every night five “achievements” of the day. It helps me to maintain confidence, which allows me to sleep better. The next day, this will translate into more energy soon in the morning. Additionally, when I wake up, I drink lots of brown water. This combination allows me to stay slim and healthy and mentally lights my mornings. – Brian David Crane, Caller Smart Inc.
