Describe your business:
Holistic Birth Partner is the go-to place for anything birth related. I focus on pregnancy, labor/birth, early postpartum, breastfeeding, babywearing, and early parenting. Some of my other passions are pre and perinatal psychology, pelvic floor health, and perinatal loss and bereavement support has a very special place in my heart being a bereaved mother myself.

What is the most important piece of your business:
Companionship. Always offering evidence-based and up-to-date information and being side-to-side with families guiding each of them trough their unique journeys.
Give some recommendations to moms from your perspective:
Read, educate yourself, empowerment lets you do anything! If you want something, look for information on how to do it: Is it safe? Should you do it? HOW should you do it? And so on…
What’s mindset change you had after you began your practice:
I keep learning each and everyday especially from my clients. Each family teaches me something either about life, or about myself, about parenting, you name it! Also, I shifted my ways to being more natural and I love it.
How can people start this same journey?
I never would have thought I’d end up being a birth doula, breastfeeding activist, defensor of natural childbirth, etc. Parenthood changed me, with that first pregnancy I became hungry for information and four years later, here I am. I discovered along the way that a LOT of support is needed, especially to first time moms and that not many people were offering that support. That brought me to wanting to help, which then turned into become a leader in my community to now having my very own birth related business.
I trained and certified with international agencies. I recommend doing a lot of research before you decide to train with someone either for becoming a childbirth educator, birth doula, postpartum doula, etc. There are LOTS of certifying agencies; you just need to find one that’s right for you and your philosophy.
