How to Make Your Bedroom More Organized

Whenever you enter your bedroom, does it feel as though you’re walking through the aftermath of a tornado? Plus, are you always spending more time than you’d like looking for specific garments or anything else in your bedroom?

If you’ve answered “yes” to either of those questions, you will likely benefit from a tidier and less chaotic-looking bedroom. The trouble is, you might not know where to start. Luckily, you don’t have to chuck everything away in your bedroom and start from scratch!

The following actionable tips and tricks will help you declutter your bedroom and transform your sleeping space into somewhere that doesn’t frustrate or embarrass you:

The following actionable tips and tricks will help you declutter your bedroom and transform your sleeping space into somewhere that doesn’t frustrate or embarrass you:

Remove Any Junk

Does your bedroom double up as a dumping ground for random items, some of which would probably be better stored elsewhere or even away from your home? If so, you need to start reviewing what’s in your bedroom and getting rid of it.

Removing any unwanted or unneeded items from your bedroom offers several benefits. For example, it gives you more space in your bedroom, especially if space is at a premium. Plus, it also means there are fewer items to organize.

Invest in Practical Storage Solutions

Next, you will need to look at how you store things like clothing, accessories, jewelry, and other items in your bedroom. Chucking everything in the corner of your bedroom isn’t the answer, which is why you need to invest in practical storage solutions.

For instance, a chest of drawers is ideal for storing all kinds of things. Plus, you’ve got a surface area at the top of them that you can use to place keepsakes like photographs. Wardrobes are also an essential and practical way to store your worldly possessions.

You should also consider organizing some under-bed storage for miscellaneous items, such as birthday or Christmas presents that you want to hide from your family until you can present them!

Buy a Dressing Table

If you haven’t already got a dressing table in your bedroom, now is the time to purchase one. As you can imagine, a dressing table is an excellent way to help you get ready each morning or whenever you’re getting ready for a big event.

Plus, you can use the drawers in your dressing table to store items like makeup, perfumes and aftershaves, lotions, and anything else you use as part of your “getting ready ritual.” Add in an elegant table lamp or two to complete the entire setup. They brighten up the dark corners in your bedroom and create a more inviting ambiance. The lamps are also necessary for better illumination for doing your makeup or beauty routine. Now, you’ll be able to see well enough to make your winged eyeliner on point every time.

Consider a Comfortable Corner Chair

If you’ve got the space in your bedroom, it’s worth considering a comfortable corner chair that you can use when you want to relax in private but don’t want to lie down on your bed.

You can use your corner chair to sit down and read books, have phone conversations, and get ready each day.

Buy a Laundry Basket

Last but not least, if you don’t already have a laundry basket in your bedroom tucked away in a corner, now is the time to get one. The last thing you want to do is have your dirty laundry spread out across your bedroom floor!
