Pacific Coast Highway California

The Pacific Coast Highway is well known as a top road trip route in the USA. The drive starts in San Diego, along the way you’ll get to see the most beautiful coastal scenery that California has to offer. Check out Hearst Castle, Los Angeles, and San Luis Obispo, head along the famous Highway One until you reach the idyllic town of Monterey.

 

As you head from San Francisco down to Santa Cruz, why not stop and check out Devil’s Slide, the perfect spot for a scenic walk. Fancy a fun museum trip? The Bigfoot Discovery Museum is not too far away. The Pacific Coast is the perfect bucket list destination.

 

Olympic Peninsula, Washington

The Olympic Peninsula is a 531-kilometer drive, starting in Seattle. Along this route, you’ll experience beautiful views, from the breathtaking shorelines to epic mountain tops and sparkling waterfalls. Make sure that you stop off at Lake Crescent, a stunning national park set in the north part of the Olympic Mountains. The Historic Columbia River Highway has been fondly nicknamed, ‘the King of roads’. The road was designed to complement the Gorge below, highlighting its natural beauty. Start off in Troutdale, and take yourself on an epic road-trip journey, you’ll pass by famous attractions like Vista House, and marvelous waterfalls such as the Wahkeena Falls and the LaTourell Falls.

The Vista House has been open since back in 1918, it was first designed as a luxury rest stop, for people who were passing along the highway, it’s a gorgeous building, with a breathtaking view, marble floors, and windows made of stained glass.

Cape Cod Massachusetts

Route 6a is considered the most scenic and historic route. If you’re looking for an unforgettable Cape Cod experience, be sure to check it out. Make sure that you make a stop at Sandwich Massachusetts, here you’ll find plenty of outdoor adventures, culture, and arts. Next, take a stop off at Brewster, it’s one of the most famous Cape Cod towns. Also, if you fancy some time on the beach there are plenty to choose from, including Crosby Landing, Breakwater Beach, and Paine’s Creek Beach.
