Morning walks are back again.
Enjoying the day as it begins.
Coffee in hand.
Hailey by my side.
Viewing the scenery of the neighborhood.
Family time to its fullest.
Smiles as wide as the sky.
Smiling and friendly neighbors.
Conversations with those emerging from the winter.
Spring decorations hung in the yards.
Rakes and grass seed as far as you can see.
Still too early to plant flowers.
But some are popping up from the ground.
The sun is hiding behind the clouds now.
Time to go back into hibernation.

It’s great to get out into the air again. Spring is coming. Find your joy!
Thank you !
When I was little, my mother and I would talk Sunday walks. Loved them and treasure those memories. Enjoy the spring walks (eventually).
Yes so wonderful!
I am longing for those days. We have had a very wet winter and Spring seems to be continuing the pattern.
The same. It’s very few days of sun !!!
Nothing like a morning walk to start the and put things in perspective.
Yes !
I am really looking forward to being able to go for walks in our neighbourhood again! I could have gone all winter, I suppose, but it’s just not as enjoyable!
U are so right it is not the same !
I’m so sick of winter, but I still try to get out and walk. It gives me a new energy.
Agreed!
What a wonderful way to start the day with Hailey. I love all your descriptors – I virtually joined you ?
Your concluding line is priceless. Living in the Pacific North West I can relate to it.
Yessss that’s exactly where we are at as well !
Observations and fresh air tend to get the creative juices flowing. Improvements in the weather bring people out and this gives us vital interactions. All these things are critical elements to those of us who choose to write. May the walking continue to call you out.
Thank you !
Spring has sprung! Love your poem inhomage to your walk.
Thank you !
