Back to School Essentials – Get the Head Start Online

Trying to back to school shop in middle/end of August is like trying to get the hottest toy during Christmas time… not fun. Nothing is better then the feeling of accomplishing a goal and then saving money while doing it! If you are like me and cannot bring your children to the store without buying like 5 different things that were not needed, then consider shopping online for back to school items. A few essentials that would be easier to buy online than in the store:

1. Rolling Backpack:

Deciding what type of backpack you want to purchase and what should it look like is the key to shopping for this item. The Trolls backpack is on sale right now, saving $13.  The Avengers backpack is on sale, saving $6.99.  There are so many different types of designs, you can choose the characters that you want on it.

2. Lunch Boxes

How are you planning to send lunch into school? Are you going to brown paper bag it? Will you buy a lunch box? While searching, I found two great lunch boxes, both on sale, 50% off. Frozen and the Avengers. I know as a teacher, I see kids lose their lunch boxes all of the time, but then brown bags always break open, so spending half the amount of money on a lunch box is key.

3. Water Bottle

Do your children break their water bottles as often as my students did? Do they lose them as often as my daughter does? If any of these are the case, then you don’t want to be spending full price for a Disney water bottle or a movie character water bottle. Back to school shopping couldn’t get any easier than this!

4. Books

You can never have too many books and if your little one is in preschool or school age, these inexpensive books can help you give your child the reading time they need at home! It is so important to read at home and having lots of options is key. Look through this list of books and see what you can find for your child!

5. Regular Backpack

Choosing the right backpack for your child is important. I know that my daughter loves the rolling suitcase and it would better suit her. However, in school, it might be easier for her to maneuver with a backpack.

Final thoughts

Getting these items out of the way now can save you money, time and sanity! Trying to find the right design when it’s sold out at the stores is one way to drive a mama crazy! Shopping online for these items is a sure way to making your life easier!
